A Closure
ok, so i made it home and back, safe and sound (by and large). apart from the weather (which could be worse, i know), it was somewhat a 'needed' trip, as i found out at the end.
I kinda left in a hurry last year - maybe because there was an element of escape. and yet, everything needs a proper closure so i guess this trip serves the purpose in some ways.
Mum and Dad are doing well. Despite some side effects from the several ops over the last year, dad is pretty much as healthy as he can be. everyone else in the family, including the dogs, are well, except my younger cousin, PY. well, that's another story on its own - a very sad one. good friends from school and work are enjoying life in their own ways and it was great to know that.
as the bus pulled near PSA building, i did felt a rush of emotions. but when i picked up the courage to go visit the guys from PD and other departments, i was quite certain that i would be lucky enough not to bump into anyone less than desire to meet. i was right. the visit went well.
contemplated if i should meet SL. but in the end, i didn't have the time anyway. everyone thought this trip home was too short (11 days). but i think it is enough. any longer would be a dread. while there are people whom i didn't end up meeting, i suppose it is all about priority.
we all have our list of 'to dos' in life - in order of importance/priorities. for those who wanted to meet me but couldn't make the time and for those whom i didn't make it to meet, it's just that.
to those who took the time to hangout with me, i am grateful for your friendship. it has been a long time since i sang my heart out in karaoke - so that was good (my JC friends are the best!!).
the fun-filled dinner with the 'old TTians' was totally enjoyable - yes, like someone at the table said, it has been a long time.
it was certainly good to see CS, NC, CM, KL, S, M, the PD guys + my netball captain. i hope i will have more to share the next time we meet. in the mean time, enjoy life!!
