CSI wannabe

I dunno how big this whole mess is going to be.

it all started with me trying to obtain the CA driving license. it was discovered that social security has my name reversed. can it be more screwed up that even my parents' names were reversed too? yeah, i have a different last name from my dad - and the bloody americans couldn't tell that something was amiss. it is a 10-year-old mistake since my social security number was issued in '94.

so, as i went to have the name corrected and guessed what they required - a document that shows my name in reversed. I tried to clarify that it is not a name change, but just to have the record corrected. i further told him that i have no documents that show my name in reverse because it never existed. But to him, to change the record, he needs documents with the 'old' name and documents with the 'new name'. else, no way. ????????????????????

is this bureacracy or stupidity?

worse, they also discovered that my last name with the immigration department has been spelled wrongly. i will have to get that fixed too. ?????????????????????????

i dun dare to go to any of the govt agencies anymore - in case i discover more screw-ups??
